Lend a Hand -- Together We Can Make a Difference
Volunteer opportunities abound in the Department of Parks and Recreation. You can volunteer to assist at fun special events like Family Skate Night and Arlington Palooza, help individuals with disabilities learn to swim, help to remove invasive plants from our parks, and much more.
- Summer Camp Volunteers
Due to ongoing health and safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, Arlington Parks & Recreation has made the difficult decision to suspend our Volunteer Program for Summer Camp 2021. For more information, please visit the Summer Camp Volunteer page.
- Remove Invasive Plants (RIP)
Join your neighbors as they restore the area’s natural plant communities. Help remove plants like English ivy and bush honeysuckle which threaten the health of Arlington’s parks and natural areas. Please visit the program page for more information: Remove Invasive Plants.
As we restart programs and reopen community centers, more volunteer opportunities will become available. We encourage you to visit our website often for updates. Thank you for your willingness to serve the Arlington community.
