The 55+ Travel Program is looking for active, energetic, professional volunteers to lead senior adults (ages 55 and up) on local and long distance excursions.

Volunteer opportunities abound in the Department of Parks and Recreation. You can volunteer to assist at fun special events like Family Skate Night and Arlington Palooza, help individuals with disabilities learn to swim, help to remove invasive plants from our parks, and much more.
Paint, Build Create!
We are looking for volunteer assistance for two fun & exciting volunteer options:
- Thurs., Jan. 10 from 4-7 p.m. at Fairlington Community Center. Assist DPR staff with craft preparation for our Paint, Build, Create event. Volunteers will preparing various craft supplies, measuring ingredients, and more! Register to volunteer here.
- Sat., Jan. 12 from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Fairlington Community Center. Volunteers will assist staff and participants at this fun & exciting special event. 50th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Tribute event
Volunteer with Arlington’s 50th annual MLK Tribute event! We are looking for ten volunteers to usher and four to assist backstage during the production as runners/stagehands. The volunteer commitment will be Sat., Jan. 19, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. for rehearsal and Sunday, Jan. 20, 3:30-7 p.m. for the show.
