What: 2018 Spring Adult Slow-Pitch Softball Men’s and Coed Divisions
Who: Adults Ages 18 and Up
When: Spring through early summer; Leagues are available on most days of the week
Cost: $800 per team plus $30 per non-Arlington resident.
Registration:. Registration for Spring will open for all teams and individuals on January 29. Deadline to register is 5:00pm on March 2.
Residency: All rosters must be comprised of at least 66% Arlington County and Arlington Business residents, and this percentage must be maintained throughout the season. All rosters must include the proper names,addresses, and contact information for all coaches, managers, captains, and players. All non-residents and business residents are charged an additional $30.00 fee to participate. Proof of residency is required.
Dates of Play – Season begins week of April 2, 2018 and will finish no later than August 5.

Divisions are based on team skill level, with A being the highest skilled team and D the most recreational. Please consider the following when registering:
Division A: Teams are competitive teams that have likely played together in previous seasons and may travel for additional tournaments. High intensity level. (not offered Spring 2018)
Division B: Teams often have players with competitive experience and have likely played together in previous seasons. High intensity level. (Not offered in Coed for Spring 2018)
Division C: Teams may have a few players with competitive experience and may have played together in previous seasons. Moderate intensity level.
Division D: Teams have few to no players that have ever played beyond a recreational/social league. Teams with no experience are welcome here. Low intensity level.
Teams are asked to give preferences of divisional play when registering online. However, the Athletic & Facility Services Division cannot guarantee that teams will receive their preference. Entry fees will be returned to all teams not placed into a league by the Commissioner.
League Format: Teams will play an 18 game schedule (doubleheader format) over nine (9) weeks.
Equipment: Teams must supply game balls, bats, gloves, and team uniforms. Any twelve (12) inch, 52 Cor, 300 Compression, restricted flight softball may be used.
Mandatory Coaches/Captains’ Meeting and Rules Clinic: A mandatory coaches/captains’ meeting and Softball Rules Interpretation Clinic will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2018 in the Fairlington Community Center located at 3308 South Stafford Street from 7:00 – 8:30pm. All teams must have a representative in attendance.
Makeup Games: Make-up games will typically be played on the regular night of play at the end of the season. In some cases, make-up games will be played on alternate nights of play including Fridays and weekends.
Awards: At the conclusion of the regular season, the team with the highest point total as determined by the league point system will receive championship tee shirts. The tournament winner will receive one (1) team championship team trophy. 2nd place finishers in the tournament will receive a team trophy as well.
