Non-Competitive, Intermediate (3 levels), and Advanced Adult Pick-Up Soccer
** Pick-up Soccer play is canceled due to County-wide closures for Covid-19. Registration for the Summer pick-up soccer season is also canceled **
Arlington County offers coed Pick-Up soccer programs for adult players. Five groups are offered: Tuesdays for non-competitive, small-sided play, including for beginners, Thursdays for lower-intermediate players, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for intermediate players, and Thursdays for advanced players. The Pick-Up program offers informal play organized by participants at the field – no set teams, scores, or standings. It is for both men and women – from total novices or people who are trying to learn (or re-learn) the game to experienced, post-college players. Shin guards are required for all players; cleats or turf shoes are recommended. There are no referees, so good sportsmanship is a high priority. You must register in advance to participate in these pick-up soccer programs. See below for more information. Please do not register for Tuesday Non-Competitive group unless your soccer skill level is low enough to fit that group. Please do sign up for the wait list if your preferred group is full; we are often able to add players midway through the season.
Programs: Tuesday Non-Competitive, Thursday Low Intermediate, Tuesday High Intermediate, Wednesday Intermediate, and Thursday Advanced.
Time: 8:00 – 9:30 pm (Tue Non-Comp); 9:30 – 11:00 pm (Tue High Int, Thu Low Int); 9:15 – 10:45 pm (Wed Int and Thu Adv; times may change week to week).
Location: Tuesday Non-Competitive, Tuesday High Intermediate, and Thursday Low Intermediate play at Long Bridge Park; Wednesday Intermediate plays at Wakefield H.S., Washington-Liberty H.S. and Greenbrier Park (Yorktown H.S); Thursday Advanced plays at W-L H.S. and Wakefield H.S. Locations may vary weekly for Wed Int and Thu Adv.
Cost: The fee for all pick-up programs is $75 (Arlington residents) or $105 (non-residents). Fee reductions are available for Arlington residents, based on income. No refunds will be given for field closures or any other cancellation.
Eligibility: Totally novice beginners are welcome in the Tuesday Non-Competitive program – even if you have never kicked a soccer ball in your life. Players registering for Advanced should be skilled, experienced players.
