6 p.m.: AWAL is a Guatemalan folk dance group that seeks to raise awareness of and promote the Mayan culture of Guatemala in their dances and costumes.
6:15 p.m.: Convites de Guatemala is an Arlington County-based “Convites” dance group. Their performances feature original Guatemalan handmade costumes, and historical dances that present and preserve the history and culture of Mayan tribesmen.
7:30 p.m.: Danza Tecuanis de Manassas perform “la danza de los tecuanes,” representing the union of the Zapotec and Mixtec civilizations of the southern region of Mizic, covering the Mexican states of Veracruz, Puebla and Oaxaca. The fundamental character in the dance is the tecuani (the one that eats people), the jaguar.
8 p.m.: Mystic Warriors: The Mystic Warriors band will headline the festival, performing both traditional and contemporary music of the Andes and South America.
