Adults. Join naturalist Rachael Tolman for a walk and hands-on experience with ferns. We’ll discuss the history of these ancient plants and how they survived thus far while we hike. We’ll give tips on how to differentiate between common species, and learn how to grow ferns at home from spores we’ll collect. This program will include some hiking off trail. Teens ages 16 and up are welcome, but must be accompanied by a registered adult. For information: 703-228-6535.
