As part of the County Manager’s Proposed Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 Budget, Parks & Recreation programs at Lee Community Center would be relocated to other centers in the community. If approved by the County Board in April, all current Parks & Recreation programs at Lee will continue in FY 2021 as follows:
- 55+ Programs will relocate to Lubber Run, Langston-Brown and Madison Community Centers. 55+ programs will begin transitioning out of Lee in fall 2020; all programs will be moved by the end of December 2020.
- The Cooperative Playgroup program will move to nearby Langston-Brown in January 2021.
- Enjoy Arlington classes will relocate by summer 2020 to other locations.
While Parks & Recreation staff will no longer be in the Lee building after December 2020, the next steps for the Lee Arts Center have not been determined.
